Sunnyside Christian pulled away in the second half and defeated Yakama Tribal 49 to 40 to take third place at the 1B boy's state tournament at the Spokane Arena.
The Knights opened up the fourth quarter on a 9-2 run to open up a 10-point lead over the Eagles. SC shot 80 percent from the free throw line and were 12 of 13 in the final quarter.
Lane Marsh led the Knights with 15 points, while Luke Wagenaar chipped in 11. Chance Bosma controlled the glass with eight rebounds.
Christian Hanson led the Eagles with 11 poitns and eight rebounds, with Bryan Strom added 10 points on a 10-of-10 performance from the free throw line.
