Toutle Lake knocked off Colfax 42-38 in the fourth-place game in the girl's basketball 2B state tournament at the Spokane Arena on Saturday.
Britzy Hockett's go-ahead basket put Toutle Lake up 40-38, but Carmen Gfeller had a chance to tie the game for Colfax with 13.5 seconds left, as she was fouled driving to the basket. Gfeller missed the front end of the 1-and-1 and Samantha Woodley drained two free throws with 7.7 seconds left to ice the game for the Ducks.
Woodley scored a game-high 21 points for Toutle Lake and was a perfect 11 of 11 from the free throw line. Gfeller finished with 14 points and 10 rebounds and Ashtyn Aune chipped in 12 points for the Bulldogs.
