Garfield-Palouse (22-3) won the fourth place consolation game, defeating Seattle Lutheran (23-4) 60-54 on Saturday at the State 1B tournament at the Spokane Arena.
Josh Meyer sank a 3-pointer with 42.7 seconds remaining to cut the Vikings lead to 55-54. After GP's Ian Neibergs made on of two free throws, Meyer's layup attempt on the other end was off the mark and Mitch Dymkoski hit a pair of free throws with nine seconds to put the game out of reach.
Matt Holbrook led the Vikings with 23 points on 9 of 20 shooting. Wyatt Griner added 11 points and nine rebounds and Holbrook had seven assists to go along with his 23 points.
Meyer led the Saints with 18 poitns. Xavier Turner finished with 16 points and eight rebounds and Roberto Duenaz chipped in 11 points.
