Summary

Carlie Rittel netted 19 points, and Republic dominated the second half to beat Evergreen Lutheran in a 1B semifinal at Spokane Arena on Friday.

The Tigers (25-1) conceded the game's first seven points and trailed 29-25 at the half. But Rittel scored nine points during Republic's third quarter surge, where they turned that deficit into a five-point advantage. Rittel then capped a 10-run that stetched into the fourth quarter with a jumper to put the Tigers up 50-37, and then four free throws from Shania Graham and three from Savannah Bowe sealed the victory.

Bowe finished with 14 points and seven rebounds, and Vaughn gathered 11 rebounds.

Republic will now get a shot at seven-time defending champion Colton on Saturday.

Katelyn Schwartz scored 19 points for Evergreen Lutheran will play Sunnyside Christian in a consolation game.
