Summary

Jaron Kirkley totaled 35 points and eight rebounds, and Mossyrock fended off Friday Harbor 69-57 Thursday in the 2B quarterfinals at Spokane Arena.

The Vikings (19-7) led the entire way. The Wolverines (19-6) made a run late in the third, as they cut a 12-point hole to 41-40 after four three-pointers and an old-fashioned three from Danil Sonjaya. But Leovardo Munoz sank a trey and Kirkley hit a reverse layup, and Mossyrock dominated the fourth quarter.

Danny Nelson scored 16 for the Vikings and Munoz notched 14 points and eight boards. They will play Lind-Ritzville/Sprague in the semifinals.

Josh Gustafson led Friday Harbor with 23 points and eight rebounds. The Wolverines will play Life Christian in a consolation game.
