Summary

Payton Nielsen tallied 19 points and 12 rebounds, and Almira/Coulee-Hartline played stifling defense to beat Seattle Lutheran 50-44 on Thursday in a 1B quarterfinal at Spokane Arena.

The Warriors closed the first quarter on an 11-0 run to take control early, as Nielson and Dallas Isaak combined for five straight buckets.

The Saints went on a run of their own in the third, as Isaia Dow-Albrecht and Ryan Okabayashi hit threes in a 10-0 spurt that left SL up 36-35.

ACH won the game at the other end though, as SL failed to scored in the fourth until Josh Meyer's putback with three minutes left. Nielson answered with a putback of his own, and the Warriors made just enough shots from the foul line to keep the Saints at arm's distance.

Isaak notched 17 points for ACH, which will prepare for Yakama Tribal in the semifinals.

Dow-Albrecht led the way for SL with 15 and Xavier Turner scored 11. The Saints will match up with Shorewood Christian in the consolation bracket.
