Justin Strom notched 17 points and eight rebounds, and Yakama Tribal bested Shorewood Christian 59-49 in a 1B quarterfinal Thursday at Spokane Arena.

The Eagles (18-8)went on an 11-0 streak to take a 22-10 advantage early in the second quarter and never trailed. The Lions (20-4) managed to rally and tie the game three times, the last being at 41 on Jovi Fevaleaki's shot with five minutes left. But Yemowa Eagleheart's 3-point play and StarSun Billy's trey quickly restored the Yakama lead. The Eagles then made seven of eight free throws in the last two minutes to secure the win.

Christian Hanson added 15 points and eight boards for YT and Billy scored 14.

JJ Young led SC with 13 points and eight rebounds, while Fevaleaki notched 10 points and 10 boards.
