Summary

Mollie Olson tallied 12 points and nine rebounds, and Napavine withstood a St. George's rally to secure a 36-32 2B quarterfinal win Thursday at Spokane Arena.

The Tigers (23-3) went on an 11-0 first-half run to lead 17-7 and never trailed after that.

The Dragons (21-7) responded with a 10-0 run to start the third quarter, including 3-pointers from Hailey Higashi and Natalie Farias. But the Dragons never got closer than three in the second half, and Melissa Lee's bucket with a minute remaining effectively ended the game.

Lee scored 11 for Napavine, who will now face Wahkiakum on Friday in the semifinals.

Higashi paced St. George's with 13 points and Erin Armitage had nine rebounds. The Dragons will play Colfax in a consolation game.
