Summary

Taylor Campbell finished with a game-high 27 points to power Republic past Cusick 63-56 on Saturday night, supplanting itself into the No. 1 seed slot in Northeast 1B.

Republic took a 10-point lead going into the fourth quarter, but Cusick responded with a 12-0 run to start the quarter. Republic reeled, coming back to take the lead in the waning minutes. The game was over when Tyson Shanholzer missed a two point attempt with 10 seconds left in the game. Cusick, despite being largely undersized, kept the rebounding competition close, as Republic got the edge 38-36.

Aaron Fritts supplemented Campbell's scoring with 15 points and 11 boards, and Adrian McCarthey added 11 and nine for Republic.
