Summary

Ryan Maine made 9 of 15 shots, including 6 of 11 3-pointers, and scored 29 points to help lead the Scotties past the Cardinals in a Northeast A League game in Freeman.

Maine made 5 of 6 free throws late in the fourth to help seal it for Freeman. Michael Coumont added 17 points and Jack Pauckert added 11 points and 10 assists for the Scotties, who made 14 of 24 3-pointers.

Jaelon Stith led Medical Lake with 30 points, with 13 coming in the first quarter. He made 12 of 15 shots and grabbed six rebounds. Cory Wagner, who dropped 41 against Riverside last Saturday, was held to just four.

The win kept Freeman atop the Northeast A League standings. The Scotties play second-place Lakeside in Nine Mile Falls on Friday.
