Summary

Hailey Young's 28 points and six steals helped Northport to an early lead, carrying them to a 50-12 win -- its first of the season -- over Columbia on Saturday night.

Young also had eight rebounds. Molly Young, a cousin of Hailey, grabbed a game-high nine boards. Northport's defense held Columbia to seven points or below in each quarter.

Issie Bair led both teams with six assists and Amabelli Garza also nabbed seven rebounds for Northport.
