Summary

Brooklyn Howlett had a team-high 16 points and Riley Lupfer scored 15 to lead a balanced offensive effort as Lewis and Clark beat host North Central 59-51 in a Greater Spokane League girls basketball game on Saturday night.

Taylor Cunningham added 13 points for the Tigers, who improved to 6-3 overall, 6-1 in the GSL. LC thwarted a fast start by North Central, before sealing the game by making 8-of-12 free throws in the fourth quarter. The Indians (3-6, 3-4) led 11-9 in the first quarter before LC went on a 10-0 run, ending with the opening basket of the second quarter, and never relinquished the lead.

North Central's Quincy McDeid scored a game-high 21 points in the loss and made five 3-pointers for the second consecutive game.
