Summary

The battle between Orofino (11-11) and St. Maries (18-4) saw four buzzer-beaters throughout this overtime thriller, but it was St. Maries that came out on top by a final score of 61-57. Hayden Wilson from Orofino hit a half-court shot at the end of the first quarter, while teammate Gabe Turner scored another clutch buzzer-beater going into halftime. In the second half, it was St. Maries turn to make the shots, as Chase Truscoutt ended the third quarter with one, while Tim Epler with the buzzer-beater in the fourth quarter to send the game into overtime, with his team emerging victorious.

Kiefer Gibson led St. Maries with 21 points, 12 rebounds and three blocks, while Jake Sieler scored 18 points for St. Maries. Dakota Wilson also brought in seven points for the Lumberjacks, 5 of which came in overtime on free throws.

Hayden Wilson led Orofino in scoring with 18 points, while Gabe Turner earned 13 points. Bailey Noah also accumulated 12 points for Orofino.

With this loss, Orofino plays in the consolation bracket of the playoffs and will face Grangeville. The winner of that game will face off against St. Maries to decide who will go to State.
