Summary

Timberlake outlasted Teton 75-62 at Middleton High School on Friday night, advancing to the 3A Idaho State girls basketball championships. The Tigers outscored Teton 29-15 in the third quarter to gain a resounding lead. Timberlake won despite being outshot by Teton, who shot 70 percent from the field to the Tigers 55.3.

A one-two scoring punch of Alison Kirby and Keelie Lawler paced the Tigers. Kirby scored 21 and Lawler added 19 in the win.

Jenna Abbott scored a game-high 30 on 14 of 17 shooting for the Redskins.

The Tigers will play Marsh Valley at 2:30 on Saturday at the Ford Idaho Center for the state title.
