Summary

Christine Denny scored 29 points, and Liberty staged a dramatic comeback to sink Kettle Falls 63-50 at West Valley on Monday in the District 7 2B tournament.

The Lancers trailed 20-6 after the first quarter, but methodically worked their way back into the contest. Denny notched 14 in the fourth quarter, where Liberty erased a then six-point lead with a 25-6 burst. Haley Marsh sank six late free throws to help seal the win.

Erin Johnson led the Bulldogs with 25 points, including four first-half 3s to stake KF to their early lead. Olivia Beardslee added 13 points.

Liberty will now face Lind-Ritzville/Sprague on Wednesday.
