Summary

Rachael Schlect tallied a team-high 13 kills and five blocks to lead University to a 3-2 win over visiting Ferris in a nonleague volleyball opener on Tuesday.

Kendall Collins added 42 assists and six aces for the Titans (1-0), who held on for the five-set victory after jumping out to a 2-0 set lead.

Summer Reid had a match-high 17 kills for the Saxons (0-1).
