Alea Acosta scored two goals, Katie Greene provided two assists and the host Mead Panthers defeated Shadle Park 5-1 on Friday in a Greater Spokane League girls soccer match.

Acosta scored the opener in the ninth and pushed the Panthers lead to 4-0 in the 58th minute off a feed from Greene.

Meghan Felts scored the Highlanders lone goal in the 79th minute.

Greene was also the provider on Alex Chambers' 17th-minute goal that put the Panthers up 2-0.
