Summary

Colfax scored two runs in each of the first three innings and went on to defeat Kittitas 11-6 in a first-round game at the State 2B softball tournament at Gateway Sports Complex in Yakima. Kittitas rallied with three runs in the fifth but the Bulldogs built an 11-3 lead before Kittitas scored three more in the bottom of the seventh.

Kori Goodwin went 3 for 5 with three RBIs for the Bulldogs and Amara Huber was 2 for 5 with three RBIs. Winning pitcher Erica Eng struck out nine and issued just one walk.
