Summary

A seven hit, seven run fourth inning pushed host Lakeside past Deer Park 12-1 for the District 7 1A championship on Saturday.

With runners on second and third and nobody out in the home half of the fourth, corner infielder Maddie Lesser saw a way to dig the Eagles out of a 1-0 hole.

Lesser laid down an uncalled safety squezze. The bunt scored sister Hailey from third, went for a hit and ignited Lakeside's bats. The Eagles followed with three straight hits and never looked back in their six-inning victory.

Deer Park learns its State 1A first round opponent on Sunday. State 1A is in Richland.
