Summary

Kayla Butler hit a grand slam in the top of the tenth, and Deer Park held on for the 7-4 victory over Riverside. Kylie Sweeney and Keelin Hunt both held their opposition scoreless through the first eight innings before the scoring outbursts in the ninth and tenth. Sweeney finished with 15 strikeouts, and Hunt had 16 strikeouts. Tina Carlson broke the scoreless tie in the ninth with a two-run home run. Riverside came back with a couple clutch RBI singles to tie the game and send it to the tenth when Butler hit her grand slam. Sarah Peterson hit a two-run homer to narrow the gap in the bottom of the tenth.
