Michael Walker came through in the bottom of the seventh as Mt. Spokane withstood Columbia River 6-5 at Whitworth's Merkel Field in a State 3A first round game on Saturday.
Walker hit a walk-off sac fly to lift the Wildcats after the Chieftains had rallied for three runs in the top half of the seventh to tie the game.
Mt. Spokane advanced to face Mercer Island in the quarterfinal, a 3-1 winner over Southridge, in the afternoon.
