Summary

Senior Julia Boyd pitched a two-hitter, giving up only three walks while throwing ten strikeouts as Cheney defeated Pullman 8-3 in the District 7 2A championship game. Boyd also hit a solo home run. Freshman Meghan Krantz helped lead the Blackhawks' offense, going 3 for 4 with a home run and two RBIs. Senior Cassie Schliep went 3 for 3 with a double and an RBI. With the win, Cheney will play the third seed out of the Central Washington Athletic Conference next Saturday in Cheney in a winner-to-state and loser-out game.
