Summary

Pullman knocked off East Valley in the GNL semifinal matchup thanks to 16 Pullman hits and eight East Valley errors. East Valley gave up six runs in the sixth inning thanks to five errors in that inning. East Valley's Katy Sinn was 3 for 5 with two doubles and finishes with a .642 batting average for the year. Chloe Chalfont had her fourth home run of the year with a solo shot in the second, while Pullman's Becca Wickard was 2 for 4 with a home run in the third. Pullman (9-9) moves on to play Cheney (18-2) for the District 7 2A title game at 1 p.m. Saturday at Cheney. The winner of the district title game will host a winner-to-state game against Central Washington Athletic Conference No. 3 on May 23. The loser will travel to CWAC No. 2 on the same day for a winner-to-state game.
