Summary

Rachael Johnson hit a two-run inside-the-park-home run in the bottom of the second to help propel University (17-4) to a 7-4 win over Lewis and Clark (7-15) in five innings at Whitworth in a District 8 4A semifinal game. Lewis and Clark drew scored first with a two-run triple by Courtney Smith in the first inning to go up 2-0, before the Titans outscored Lewis and Clark 7-2 the rest of the game. University will face Central Valley on Friday at Whitworth at 5 p.m. in the District 8 4A championship. Both teams have qualified for regionals. At 3 p.m. Friday, Lewis and Clark plays Mead in a winner-to-regional, loser-out game.
