Hudson Petek hit a two-run single in the top of the sixth with the bases loaded to help Medical Lake to a 3-1 win over host Lakeside in the District 7 1A tournament. The Cardinals scored their first run off of two Lakeside errors before Petek's RBI single. Medical Lake pitcher tossed a complete game, striking out 11 batters. Rudy Cordova went 3 for 3 for the Eagles. Medical Lake travels to play Freeman tomorrow in the next round of districts.
