Summary

Alex Bowdish struck out 11, Connor Ramm got the big hit and East Valley eliminated Pullman with a 4-3 District 7 first round baseball game on Saturday in Pullman.

After Pullman jumped out to an early 1-0 lead, Ramm ripped a two-RBI double in the third to give the Knights the advantage.

Bowdish, who went the distance on the mound, made sure EV did not relinquish that lead. He tip-toed out of a bases-loaded jam in the fifth, allowing only one run, and scatted five hits while walking four in the game.

Colin Spendlove's RBI single in the fifth for East Valley would turn out to be the winner as Pullman was able to push two late runs across.

Mike Peterson took the loss for the Greyhounds. He allowed four runs over five innings, striking out seven with only one walk and conceding seven hits.

East Valley (7-13) plays in a loser-out game on Monday at the winner of Saturday's Clarkston-Cheney game.

Pullman's season ends at 8-11.
