Summary

Jaya Allen and a host of other Highlanders made big impacts, and Shadle Park clinched an outright GSL title with a 13-2 win Friday at Mead.

Allen struck out nine during her five-inning pitching effort. She also went 3 for 4 at the plate with 3 RBIs. Catcher Leslie Jones recorded a hit in each of her four at-bats, as she batted in two and scored four times. Laurie Jones added three hits.

Shadle clinched their first title since 2008. They will begin district play Thursday against the winner of Tuesday's contest between North Central and Mt. Spokane. Mead will host Central Valley on Wednesday.
