Summary

Central Valley extended their season with a wild 6-4 nine-inning game against Mead in a District 8 4A loser-out game.

CV got to extra innings thanks to a defensive gem from Colton Peha, as he caught a fly ball in center and then threw out a Mead runner trying to tag and score the winning run from third.

After a walk put the Bears up in the ninth, Austin Bergdahl added a two-run single to make it 6-3. Randy Edwards also had two RBIs for CV.

Justin Dolezal worked a complete game for the Panthers and had six strikeouts.

Central Valley will now travel to play the No. 2 seed from the Mid-Columbia Conference on Tuesday.
