Alex Surby went 3 for 3 with a two-run shot in the third as part of University's 7-6 win at Central Valley in the Greater Spokane League. University's Alex Douglas pitched a complete game and threw 10 strikeouts. Central Valley's Shayla Vegas was 2 for 3 with two RBIs and Jordan Schneidmiller was 2 for 4 with two RBIs. Both teams will complete their regular seasons on Friday. Central Valley, the No. 3 seed to the District 8 4A tournament, will play No. 2 Mead at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Whitworth University. Top-seeded U-Hi will meet either Lewis and Clark or Gonzaga Prep at 5 that afternoon.
