Summary

Jerren Tate scored the winning run in the top of the seventh as West Valley edged past host East Valley 3-2 on Thursday.

The Eagles were in a position to win thanks to Austin Lee, who struck out 10 in a complete-game effort. Johnny Sage also laced a two-run double in the third for WV's other runs.

Tate got on in the seventh, and then came around to score thanks to a pair of errors by the Knights.
