Summary

Miranda Atwood picked up 3 RBIs, including the winner in the eighth inning, as Freeman turned back visiting St. Maries 5-4 in a nonleague softball game on Thursday. Atwood hit a one out, sacrifice fly to lift the Scotties to victory after the Lumberjacks had scored three times in the sixth and seventh to push the game into extra innings. Josie Schultz had three hits for Freeman. Kalista Mettler earned the win for the Scotties after coming in in the seventh inning.
