Lumni Nation opened the game on a 10-0 run, withstood Neah Bay's comeback attempts, and captured the State 1B title with a 54-33 victory Saturday at the Arena.
The Blackhawks, making their first trip to state since 2011, got a game-high 14 points from Dean Williams. Austin Brockie added 13 points and seven rebounds and Trazil Lane chipped in 12 points and seven boards.
The Red Devils just didn't have enough offensive firepower to hang with Lumni Nation.
Ahead 33-28 after three quarters, Brockie hit two straight 3-pointers to open the fourth and the Blackhawks never looked back. Williams' breakaway layin off a steal with 2:16 left gave Lumni Nation a 51-33 lead and ignited a euphoric bench celebration.
Neah Bay was ice cold throughout. The Red Devils made 12 of 50 shots and just 2 of 25 3-pointers. John Ream had 10 points and nine rebounds and Abraham Venske added 10 points and seven rebounds for Neah Bay.
