Summary

A day after a disappointing loss to White Swan, the Colfax girls got off to a rough start in their consolation game on Friday.

The Bulldogs, however, eventually got it together and beat Napavine 49-40 to stay alive in the 2B bracket.

Amara Huber had team-highs of 17 points and 10 rebounds and Colfax overcame an eight-point first-quarter deficit. The Bulldogs closed out the third quarter on a 5-0 run to take a 35-30 lead, and they pulled away in the fourth.

Huber's 3-pointer with 6:43 left in the fourth put Colfax on top 40-31, and the Tigers managed just two points through the next 4 minutes.

Napavine's Devanie Kleemyer had 15 points and nine rebounds and Rylee White chipped in 12 points and five boards. The Tigers made just 5 of 20 second-half shots, including 2 of 12 3-pointers.
