Summary

Life Christian fended off Walla Walla Valley Academy's spirited fourth-quarter charge and stayed alive in the 2B bracket with a 49-46 consolation win at the Arena.

Andy Comfort scored 16 points and grabbed six rebounds and Luke Lovelady added 14 points and nine rebounds for Life Christian, which will play Okanogan Saturday at 8 a.m. in the fourth-sixth place game.

The Knights didn't go away quietly. Zayne Browning hit three consecutive 3-pointers midway through the fourth and Caleb King made a lay-in with 1:13 left that completely wiped away the Eagles' 12-point lead.

WWVA had the ball late, trailing by one, with a chance to win. A loose ball gave the ball to Life Christian with 6 seconds left. Comfort made a pair of free throws to put Life Christian ahead 49-46. WWVA's Cameron Fitzgerald had a chance at the buzzer, but his long-rang 3-pointer was well short.

Browning led the Knights with 14 points and Fitzgerald added eight points, six rebounds and five assists.
