Summary

Crosspoint Academy took advantage of ice-cold Evergreen Lutheran and stayed alive with a 42-25 1B consolation victory Friday at the Arena.

The Eagles trailed by just three at halftime, but couldn't get anything going offensively in the second half. Evergreen Lutheran made 1 of 15 second-half shots, and the Warriors pulled away.

Cailyn Cattell scored 13 points and grabbed nine rebounds to lead Crosspoint Academy. Kailey Bandara and Kalie Nation each added eight and Deseree Doty chipped in nine rebounds and five assists. A 13-2 third-quarter run all but sealed the deal for the Warriors.

Emily Holder carried the load for Evergreen Lutheran. The junior forward scored 19 points and grabbed nine rebounds -- both team highs. She made 5 of 11 shots and 8 of 11 free throws.
