Summary

Cayla Jones' heroics helped White Swan rally from an early hole and hold off defending champion Colfax 39-37 in the 2B quarterfinals.

Jones finished with 20 points and nine rebounds to lead the Cougars.

After a tight first quarter, the Bulldogs burst ahead with a 10-0 run to open the second, and led 24-13 after Scout Cai's three-pointer.

Jones made a three-point play to cut the Colfax lead to 24-20 at the break, and another hoop and free throw gave WS their first lead at 25-24 in the the third. Later in the period, she added a third and-one, then stole the ball and drained a triple to stretch the lead to 35-31.

After a Cai jumper notted the scored at 35 with under two minutes to go, Jones sank four late free throws, and a Bulldog turnover in the waning moments sealed a dramatic victory.

Cai finished with a team-best 12 points for Colfax.
