Summary

Kasey Johnson and Mark Webber keyed a rally as Colfax stormed back to knock off visiting Liberty 53-49 on Tuesday in a Northeast 2B South showdown.

The Bulldogs struggled in the first half, as they shot just 14% from the floor and trailed 24-12 at the break. The deficit was still 12 entering the fourth, but Johnson netted 12 of his 21 points there, including a pair of big threes. The second one staked Colfax to a four-point lead with three minutes remaining, and the hosts were able to close out the win thanks to nine-of-11 free throw shooting in the period. Johnson also had eight rebounds, and Webber added nine of his 14 points in the fourth as well.

Clay Fleming netted 16 points, a team-high for the Lancers. Keith Dumaw pitched in 13 points, and Match Burnham had 10 points and seven boards.

The win stretched Colfax's streak to 13 consecutive, while Liberty had their 12-game unbeaten run end.
