Summary

Kayleona Fanning came up big down the stretch as Curlew rallied to beat host Valley Christian 46-44 on Saturday.

The Panthers led for most of the game, but Fanning netted 12 of her 20 points in the fourth as Cougars overcame a seven-point deficit.

Lindsey Gibson tacked on 15 points for Curlew.

Phoebe Trigsted led VC with 19 points and Hannah Fields tallied 14 points and 11 rebounds. Kendra Pope also had 11 boards. The Panthers, however, were plagued by foul trouble (two starters were disqualified) and committed 25 turnovers.
