Summary

Jacey Johnson's 25-point effort helped Oakesdale edge St. John-Endicott 42-36 Saturday at Oakesdale.

Johnson scored 11 in the first quarter, including three three-pointers, and the Nighthawks started fast and took a 24-14 lead at halftime.

The Eagles fought back, though, as Abby Glorfield hit a pair of threes in the fourth as the deficit eventually sank to two. But eighth-grader Logan Reed stepped up and sank a clutch three with under three minutes remaining, and Oakesdale was able to close out the game.

Johnson also had five assists, and Reed finished with four points and nine rebounds for the hosts, who have now won seven of eight.

Glorfield had a team-high 14 points for SJE, and Gracie Dickerson notched 12.
