Summary

Savannah Paul had 15 points and eight rebounds, and host Pullman withstood a late rally to defeat East Valley (Yakima) 42-38 on Saturday in the 2A subregional.

The Greyhounds built up a 35-24 lead through three quarters, but a 14-7 run from the Red Devils in the fourth quarter made things interesting down the stretch.

Emily Drake chipped in 10 points and nine rebounds for Pullman, while Maddi Mueller scored eight and also pulled down nine boards. Pullman outrebounded EV 38-23.

Mariah Rojas notched 15 points to lead the Red Devils, while Lexi Carpenter added 11.

With the win, Pullman advances to the regional round of state next weekend, while EV is eliminated.
