Summary

Tyler Thurman led a balanced Garfield-Palouse attack, and the Vikings pulled away late to sink Pomeroy 56-36 Friday at Clarkston in the District 9 1B Championship game.

Hunter Woltering added 11 points for Gar-Pal, and Mitch Jamison netted 10. The Vikings made 10 out of 12 free throws in the fourth quarter, where they expanded their margin from seven to 20 to win comfortably in the end.

Tyson Feider led the Pirates with 12 points. Pomeroy now faces Liberty Christian on Saturday, with the winner going to regionals and the loser going home.
