Summary

A big third quarter proved the difference as Mt. Spokane kept their season alive by defeating Southridge 52-38. Trailing 21-19 at the half, the Wildcats shot 11-13 from the floor in the third quarter while shutting the Suns' offense down and went on a 22-5 run. Outside shooting was critical throughout the game for Mt. Spokane as Jordan Smith and Jaidyn Lyman each hit three three-pointers. Smith finished with 15 points and Lyman 16 points. Ari Newcomb scored eight points and secured 15 rebounds. Shyler Sullivan led Southridge with 13 points.

With the victory, Mt. Spokane will play Shadle Park at Shadle Park tomorrow at 6 p.m. in a battle for the second (and last) seed to state.
