Summary

For the third time this season, rivals Central Valley and University played a barn-burner. In the one with the highest stakes, it was the Bears that emerged victorious, as they nipped the host Titans 55-53 on Friday in a 4A subregional. Central Valley moves on to face Mead on Saturday, while U-High's season is over.

Eli Emerson led CV with 18 points, while Cameron Tucker tallied 15 points and 11 rebounds. The Bears trailed 35-20 early in the third quarter, but put together a 20-2 run to take a 40-37 in the opening stages of the fourth.
