Summary

Colter McKeown scored 19 points, James Kates added 18, and Touchet edged Colton Tuesday in a wild 54-53 overtime affair Tuesday at Clarkston in the District 9 1B Tournament.

The game was tight throught, with the halftime score knotted at 22 and the lead changing hands multiple times late in the contest. With the Wildcats holding a three-point lead late in regulation, the Indians' Carlos Rincon came up with a steal and then drained a three with eight seconds left on the clock. Rincon finished with eight points.

In overtime, Touchet again used a late three, this time off the hand of McKeown, to snatch a one-point lead. After a Colton miss and two missed free throws from the Indians, the Wildcats had another chance to win, but a jumper from the free-throw line rimmed off at the buzzer.

Grant Kinzer scored 21 points to lead Colton, which was eliminated with the loss. Brady Chadwick tacked on 10 points.

Touchet moves on to play Liberty Christian on Friday.
