Matt Smith had a game-high 14 points and added six rebounds to lead St. Maries to a 59-35 win over Priest River on Saturday.

Taking a 20-11 advantage at the end of the first quarter, St. Maries carried the momentum to notch a 35-18 halftime lead, and held the lead throughout the second. A.J. Becktel added 13 points and three blocks for the Lumberjacks, who moved into first on Friday with a win over Orofino. Marcus Mathews led Priest River with seven points.

St. Maries will play Kootenai on Tuesday.
