Summary

Phoebe Trigsted netted 13 points, and Valley Christian stayed alive in the District 7 1B Tournament with a 50-45 win over Cusick Saturday at Deer Park.

The Panthers led most of the game, and were able to hold on in the fourth quarter thanks to a couple key put-backs by Kendra Pope. She led VC with 10 rebounds. Adrienne Valenti tacked on 10 points and Hannah Fields pulled down nine boards.

Renee Wynne led Cusick with 13 points, while Jocelyn Nenema added 11.

Valley Christian moves on to play on Wednesday against the winner of the Odessa-Harrington vs. Almira/Coulee Hartline game. Cusick is finished.
