Summary

Shania Graham and Demi Jo Vaughn scored 13 points each, and Republic pulled away late to top Wellpinit 48-37 at the District 1B Tournament at Deer Park on Saturday.

The Tigers, who improved to 22-0 this season, ended the Redskins' six-game unbeaten run. Republic led just 34-31 after three quarters but outscored Wellpinit 14-6 over the final eight minutes. Vaughn pulled down nine rebounds, while Graham totaled eight boards and five assists.

Kaylee Kieffer netted 10 points to pace the Redskins. Wellpinit will play Wednesday against Selkirk, while Republic will play in the district championship game next Saturday against Odessa-Harrington.
