Summary

Anthony Rice tallied 19 points and nine rebounds, and West Valley kept their season alive with a 53-52 win Friday at Pullman in the District 7 2A Tournament.

The Eagles faced a 36-25 deficit at the start of the fourth, but Rice tallied nine in that period to key the comeback.

John Sage made a game-tying three with 45 seconds left. On Pullman's next possession, Micah Lagerquist drew a foul and made the first free throw. The second was rebounded by Brennen Folkins, who was fouled a made both of his shots to put WV in front with 18 ticks on the clock. The Greyhounds came down and had three chances to win, but none of them fell.

Martin Herford chipped in 10 points for the Eagles, who move on to face GNL top seed Clarkston on Monday.

Lagerquist totaled 23 points and 15 rebounds for the Greyhounds, who were eliminated. Jake Cillay added 18 points.
