Summary

Hailey Higashi tallied 19 points, and St. George's held off Davenport 46-41 in the District 7 2B Tournament Thursday at Reardan.

Ceci Bergquist chipped in with 11 points, and Allison Hayes recorded eight points, seven rebounds, four blocks and three steals for the Dragons.

St. George's seemed to be in control with a double-digit lead late in the fourth, before the Gorillas made it interesting with a late flurry. Higashi and Bergquist were able to make free throws to close it out for the Dragons.

St. George's moves on the 2B subregionals, where they will play Asotin Monday at West Valley. Davenport's season came to a close.
