Summary

Newport closed out the regular season with a win on senior night, as the Grzzlies rode a stellar third quarter to a 67-48 win Tuesday against Chewelah.

Ty McDaniel led a balanced Newport attack with 12 points. Kyler Zorica notched 11 and John Lyon tacked on 10. The Grizzlies led 28-24 at the half, but pulled away with a 25-11 burst in the third.

Chase Frizzell paced the Cougars with 13 points, while Liam Brozik netted 10.
